Sunday 5th May saw the Hotshots in the Rhondda for a series of games across 3 age groups.

HOV Hotshots Under 10’s           2

Risca Romans                                16

This was the final meeting of these 2 teams this season, and again the Romans came out well on top.

The Blaenau Gwent outfit scored a goal in each half, with the prolific Matthew Downward scoring in the first period, and Jordan Meale netting off a Jamie Robinson assist in the 2nd.

HOV Hotshots Under 10’s           2

Howardians                         7

The last encounter between these two teams saw the Cardiff outfit run out 18-0 winners, so this performance shows the determination of the Hotshots.

Downward netted both the Valleys sides goals.

HOV Hotshots Under 14’s           1

Cardiff Capitals                   7

The poor turn out of the under 14’s team meant that apart from Peter Rodgers and Robert Jones, the rest of the team was made up of the Under 12’s team.

The only Hotshot goal fell to Rodgers, when he was able to break out of his normal defensive position to blast home from just over the half way line.

HOV Hotshots Under 18’s           2

Pontypool                            4

Both the Hotshots goals came in the first half, with defenders Gareth Liddington and Phil Rodgers getting the goals.

HOV Hotshots Under 18’s           6

Voodoo Hawks (Cardiff)   2

This was a very bad tempered game, with the Hotshots losing Liddington with a match ban, and Gareth Emms serving 16 minutes out of the 40 in the sin bin.

Despite this the Hotshots netted through the combined strike force of Emms (1), Jason Rickwood (2) and Michael Haile (3)
